Projects & Appeals

We are actively seeking sponsorships/donations & assistance with various inhouse projects  

BUFFELSFONTEIN VILLAGE

  1. Security Gate Project: require 12 gates to be installed at cost of R4150 per gate, excluding R2000 for a set of keys per block 
  2. Passage Ways & Bathrooms: Passages ways to 10 blocks of flats require ceiling repairs & a fresh coat of paint
  3. Ablution Blocks: Requires a fresh coat of paint, new novilon flooring & shower curtains
  4. Roads: Tarring is required for the existing main road in the village.
  5. Pedestrian Foot Path: Alongside 17th Ave Charlo.
  6. Cottages & Flats: Requires a fresh coat of paint.
  7. Go Green Project: Requires 6 x 5000lt water tanks including fittings & plinths.
  8. Benches: Additional seating for outside communal areas

ELEANOR MURRAY SERVICE CENTRE

  1. Hall, Foyers, and Offices: Requires a fresh coat of paint.
  2. Chapel & Kitchen walls: Requires a fresh coat of paint.
  3. Hall: Requires new Curtains, Tables & Chairs & Build in Cupboards.
  4. Hall Storeroom: Requires a fresh coat of paint & Shelving.
  5. Table & Chairs: Requires an upgrade and hall furniture
  6. Salon & Shop walls: Fresh Coat of paint.
  7. Kitchen: Requires new novilon / Tile flooring.

CUYLERHOLME ROOMS

  1. We are actively seeking assistance with the refurbishing of the external façade of the property.  We require in excess of R500 000 for this project.
  2. Go Green Project: Requires 1 x 2000lt water tank including fittings & plinths.
  3. Benches: Require 4 benches for communal areas.
  4. Flooring: Requires 100sqm tiles to upgrade bathroom floors.
  5. Rooms /Foyers/kitchen pantry: needs a fresh coat of paint.

CREATIVE HANDS PROJECT & GRANNY’S KITCHEN & GRAFT CORNER MARKET DAY

  1. Our Annual Creative Hands Project & Quarterly Markets remain the highlight for our crafty bakers & knitters, we are actively seeking donations of Wool/Material/Beads/Card stock and dry baking ingredients (flour, icing sugar, baking powder, cupcake mixes)

HEAD OFFICE

  1. We are actively seeking assistance with the refurbishing of the internal walls of the property & new carpeting
  2. Medical Supplies / Adult Nappies or pull-ups
  3. Walking Aids: Medic Walker 4 Wheel (Dischem)
  4. Cash donations: to assist with services to older persons (see donate now for more info)
  5. Carports: Additional Carports required
  6. ABCA PANTRY: Non-perishable food/porridge, milk & sugar/ fresh veggies for service kitchens
  7. Transportation: Require donations for petrol, to assist with transporting elderly residents to and from clinics/shopping centres & social outings.

What is donor deductable status? What is donor deductable status?

Algoa Bay Council for the Aged has donor deductible status by virtue of being a register Public Benefit Organisation. This enables ABCA to, under restrictive conditions, issue 18A receipts for donations of a specific type and nature. Not all donations will qualify for 18A status and the qualifying criteria are as determined by the SA Revenue Services in legislation.
